    Background introduction

    In order to establish product quality tracking, a manufacturer needs to read the one-dimensional code of each packaged product. After the barcode information is read by the code reader, the information is transmitted to the data acquisition device through the communication interface, and then the acquisition device stores or transmits the information to the automatic device according to the actual requirements. The automatic device uses this information to divide the product into different flow channels. In order to improve the reading efficiency, reduce the time of manual sorting of the product and reduce the downtime during manual inspection, it is necessary to import the automatic reading bar code equipment. Since there are many types of bar codes of this product, but only two bar codes are needed, the probability of reading the bar code misreading increases, which will lead to misreading and misreading. Second, because the logistics speed is very fast, the difficulty of the automatic code reading system is greatly increased. After evaluation, the DM300 was selected because of the DataMan reader's high reading rate and the ability to filter various barcodes.

     

    System performance

    The DM300 uses 1DMax™ with HotbarsII ™ technology to read one-dimensional barcodes at high rates, even if the barcode is damaged or deformed, with decoding accuracy of 0.8 pixels per module (PPM). The system intuitive setup tool provides customers with the most simple real-time setup and deployment; Intelligent tuning technology can automatically adjust the integrated light source settings to provide the best light settings for the workpiece; Automatic tuning and trigger buttons enable the reader to be set up without a PC or HMI;

    The DM300 liquid lens autofocus function allows the reader to obtain a larger depth of field. When capturing images with a larger field of view, locate the -dimensional bar code at any position in the image and read it, so that the position of the bar code will not affect the reading result of the bar code, so as to avoid the problem that the bar code cannot be read due to different shapes and positions.

The system uses an external sensor to trigger, sends the trigger command through the RS232 connection, and transmits the barcode information to the data collector after reading the barcode. The system can effectively read the dimensional bar code of the box size range of 40mm-80mm on the pipeline, and the bar code type and environmental parameters are:

Barcode type: code128.code3 9;

Mark type: Print the label;

Field of view: 320mm×240mm;

Working distance: 650mm;

Conveyor speed: 1 m/s.

When working, the code reader is located above the box and automatically reads the code. The position of the reader is adjustable (adjustment requires the use of tools to prevent arbitrary adjustment).

 

Working effect

The reading data is accurate and stable, the reading rate is 99.9%, and it has the function of identifying NG bar code anomalies, with an audible and visual alarm device, and the operator is prompted to deal with anomalies in time.
