Cognex ViDi Suite is the first deep learning-based image analysis software designed for factory automation applications. This suite is a reliable software solution that has been extensively tested and optimized in the field, based on a set of advanced machine learning algorithms. Cognex ViDi Suite combines artificial intelligence (AI) with VisionPro and Cognex Designer software, addressing complex applications that are too challenging, cumbersome, or expensive for traditional machine vision systems. The suite includes four different tools:
Location: Feature localization and recognition
ViDi Blue-Locator tool can learn from annotated images to easily locate complex features and objects. Self-learning algorithms can locate components, count translucent glass medical vials on pallets, and perform assembly validation checks on reagent boxes and toolkits. When training the ViDi Blue-Locator tool, you only need to provide images with the target features marked.
Inspect: Segmentation and defect detection
Cognex ViDi Red-Inspect tools are used to detect anomalies and appearance defects. Whether it's scratches on decorative surfaces, incomplete or improperly assembled parts, or textile issues, the Red tools can easily identify all of these problems and more by learning from the normal appearance of objects. Red tools can also be used to segment specific areas of interest, such as defects or other regions of interest. Whether it's foreign objects on medical textiles or cutting areas on lace, the Red-Inspect tools can learn the different appearances of target regions with ease.
Classify:Object and scene classification
Cognex ViDi Green-Classify tools are used to classify objects or entire scenes. Whether it's recognizing products based on packaging, classifying weld seams, or distinguishing defects, the Green tools can learn to differentiate different categories based on annotated image sets. When training the Green-Classify tool, you only need to provide sets of images marked with different categories.
Read:Text and character reading
ViDi Blue-Read tools can read severely deformed, skewed, and poorly engraved character codes. Pre-trained fonts can recognize most text without additional programming or font training, ensuring quick and easy implementation. This high-performance tool can be retrained to adapt to specific OCR application requirements without any visual expertise.
