DSMax is a high-speed, high-resolution laser-based 3D displacement sensor available on the market for capturing images in three dimensions and detecting products. This sensor offers the following features:
1. Achieves high scan rates across the entire measurement range (up to 18 kHz).
2. Provides a large image resolution* (2000 contour points).
3. Offers fast High Dynamic Range (HDR) imaging.
These features make the sensor suitable for measuring and inspecting smaller components like electronic elements, which may exhibit both highly reflective and non-reflective characteristics.
Accurate three-dimensional detection of small details
DSMax concentrates 2000 contour points into a 31 mm field of view (FOV). The more contour points spread across the field of view, the more it can reveal the details of the section and enhance the accuracy of the 3D image, making three-dimensional detection more precise.
Increased throughput through fast cycling
DSMax captures high-resolution 3D images five times faster than other displacement sensors on the market. DSMax achieves high-resolution scan rates of up to 18 kHz (full FOV) by using high-speed imagers, high-speed compression sensing technology, and the CoaXPress® solution, thereby reducing cycle time and increasing throughput.
Optimized imaging system with telecentric optics configuration
DSMax comes equipped with telecentric lenses, reducing shadows and providing high-contrast images. It achieves this by directing the laser beam directly onto the object, minimizing light reflection from the lens and increasing light reflecting back to the imager. The telecentric optics configuration is suitable for high-precision measurements, offering the accuracy, repeatability, and throughput required for applications.
Improved image acquisition through fast High Dynamic Range (HDR)
DSMax employs fast HDR technology for image acquisition, reducing noise in the images and enhancing accuracy. HDR prevents DSMax from being affected by excessively bright or highly reflective features in the images, providing optimal images for machine vision inspection.
