Optical Configuration Technology

The DataMan 8000 Series utilizes patented automatic exposure algorithms and faster image acquisition technology, making it the first industrial handheld code reader to provide integrated liquid lens performance. Faster imaging means the code reader can now be used in dual-focus mode, allowing users to increase the depth of field or read barcodes of various sizes, from large barcodes several inches long to small 5-mil DataMatrix codes.

The DataMan 8000 Series industrial code readers are the first handheld code readers to support Ethernet communication through Cognex Connect™ functionality, making them easy to integrate into factory networks for real-time product and component traceability.

 

In addition to standard support for USB and RS-232, Cognex Connect also enables communication through industrial protocols such as Ethernet/IP, PROFINET, MC protocol, Modbus TCP, providing users with maximum flexibility.
