Background
In the automotive assembly process, it is necessary to inspect whether various components have missing parts and whether they are correctly positioned. In the clutch assembly inspection, it is essential to detect the presence or absence of springs and ball bearings inside the clutch.
System Introduction
For the inspection of large-area components like clutches, a linear light source with a high-angle illumination is used to highlight the internal springs and ball bearings of the clutch. Due to the uncertainty of the position of clutches in the field of view on the production line, an image positioning technique is first applied to locate the clutches as a whole. Then, the system proceeds to inspect each workstation within the clutches to determine the presence or absence of ball bearings and springs.
Work Effect
Since the system's operation, the normal working rate has reached over 99.6%. This inspection system has saved the company more than three workstations in the automotive component assembly process, significantly reducing the labor intensity of production workers and improving production reliability.
